Clock and Seal has been a prominent and cherished Homecoming tradition for over thirty years, bringing together the university to celebrate in Florida State University spirit. Attended by a mix of current and past campus leaders, university faculty, staff, and administration.
Established by Burning Spear in 2008, Guardian of the Flame is a premiere event at Florida State University where student leaders honor faculty, administration, and staff members with prestigious awards for their hard work and dedication to our university.
THE SPIRIT DRUM
The Spirit Drum, a long-standing tradition centered on Florida State University athletics, was revived in 1993 by Ms. Liza Park, Mr. Benjamin Crump, and Mr. Brecht Heuchan as part of the Charlie Ward Heisman campaign. The Spirit Drum has been a symbol of university pride for over thirty years, with a newly constructed version built in partnership with the Florida State University Master Craftsman Studio.
